Genealogy Merit Badge

You are invited to attend a Genealogy merit badge clinic on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the LDS chapel on Norwalk drive (the location of Roundtable) 
There will be two different sessions:  8:30-10:00 and 10:30-noon. You only need to attend one of the sessions.
There is a maximum of 20 scouts per session. Reservations are first come, first served.
1. Come with a filled-out blue card. I will sign my name and nothing more. Everything else must be filled out or I will not sign. Sorry, but with 20 scouts I can't be filling out everything for everyone.

2. Print out the merit badge worksheet available at Bring a pencil or pen.
3. Complete requirements 3, 6 and 7. Requirements 6 and 7 (pedigree chart and family group sheet, which are in the merit badge worksheet) can be filled out while doing requirement 3 (call a relative to get information). Fill them out to the best of your ability.
4. Bring the document mentioned in requirement 4b. This could be a photocopy or photo of a birth certificate, marriage certificate, a parent's drivers license, a passport, etc. I will not keep these - I will only ask questions about the genealogical value of the information on the document they provide.
If you do the prerequisites (which will probably take about an hour), we can get through the rest of the requirements during the merit badge session on Saturday
