Camp Skymont Sign-ups Closed

All spots for Troop 584's trip to Skymont are filled. However, boys can sign-up for the wait list in case anyone cancels.

 
As the number one ballot initiative on all Scout's minds, we have secured an alternative summer camp option for June 2014...Skymont, Tennessee!  Skymont is located on the edge of the Cumberland Plateau and in the middle of a 2,400 acre reservation.  Waterfalls, scenic overlooks, caves, forests and multiple rock climbing/rappelling locations are all available on the reservation or within a 30-minute drive and will be part of your camp experience. You will experience nature at its finest and with average temperatures in the mid-80s for highs and lows in the mid-60s at night, you can sleep comfortably, regaining your energy for another great day at Skymont.

When
o June 8-14 (Katy ISD school ends on June 5)
o Travelling out by charter bus leaving late afternoon of June 7
o Returning early morning of June 15
Cost 
o $250 camp fees for Scouts
o $100 camp fees for adults
o ~$250 per person for charter bus (final cost to be confirmed)
o $50pp for additional troop costs (fuel, mileage for trailer, campsite supplies)

o   We have 40 spots reserved and this is open to all scouts

o   Your spot can only be reserved with full payment at sign-up ($550 per scout, $400 per adult)

o   Sign-ups open Monday, November 25 and will remain open until sold-out

o   See our Outings Coordinators at the meetings for sign-ups

o   We will maintain a waitlist after that, working with the camp to secure more spots, but not guaranteed

o   Once paid, you will own those spots and will only be able to cancel by finding others to go in your place, firstly from the waitlist

o   Over 40 merit badges on offer with 8+ Eagle

o   Scouts can earn between 4-6 merit badges depending on choices

o   Some badges have additional supply fees and will be communicated during merit badge sign-ups

o   Sign-ups for merit badges will take place in March with more information provided in the Spring

o   For additional cost scouts can choose to spend Friday going on a whitewater trip, a rock climbing trip, or a cave hike/zip-line tour...these to be discussed more in the spring
